We have developed our workflow process by drawing on several years of web project execution. Planning is the essence of any successful project and is the core of the ImageSmith project development process, integrating technical and creative design with clear functionality and measurable objectives.
The purpose of the initial briefing is to ascertain the business and marketing objectives, major functions and timeframe requirements of the project. This stage of the process will provide you with a list of information that we require to accurately gauge the scope of the project. The outcome of this stage will largely determine our approach to the planning of the following project stages.
Based on information gathered and discussed in the Initial Brief, we develop a Project Proposal that contains the specifics of detail and functionality for the project.
This proposal ensures that we have interpreted your requirements accurately and enables any changes or corrections to site details to be made prior to commencement of graphic design or coding.
The Proposal document, once approved by you, enables us to generate an accurate quote for the development.
Once we have a full picture of site functionality and content, it is time to unleash the creative juices and design the look and feel for your new website.
We will now create some concepts and static mockups of your website (ie a picture of how it will look) and aks for your feedback. This ensures that you get a design for your site that will reflect your business in the best possible light.
This concept will move into the development phase once approved.
At this point commencement of site coding development occurs. Coding development can consist of one or more of the following ares:

Testing occurs all the way through the course of the development stage. The testing stage of our process provides for more rigorous examination of the product prior to release.
It is in this stage that we draw upon the functional and technical requirements identified in the project to ensure that the project has maintained integrity as per the Project Proposal document.
Once your website has been coded and tested, it will be uploaded to our testing server for final testing by us in a live web environment. At this time you are invited to preview the site for a testing and familiarisation period prior to release to the live server.
This ensures that you are familiar with the workings of your new website and that there are no inaccurate details contained in the site content.
The Deployment stage entails uploading of your site to the live server and creation of any email accounts that are required. We also take the opportunity to conduct a final test to ensure that all aspects of the site are fully operational.
Any post-production processes can now commence such as Search Engine Optimisation programs or marketing of the site.
